In my opinion, I think his experience is really same as ours. In our life, we always make mistakes. For example, last week, I am so lazy and I don’t want to use the stairs, so I use the elevator. However, some bad thing happened. We wanted to go to the M floor, but the elevator went to the 2 floor by itself. Then one teacher saw us, and let us to see the Dr. Gouda.
After that, every time I pass by the elevator during the lunch time, I felt “terrible”. Like Brent, after the accident, he became quiet, stubborn, and withdrawn. The accident changed him and caused him some inference. So the story of the book is relate to my life.
In this book, I really like Lea’s mother. She let me know the forgiveness. Although Brent made the big mistakes, she still forgiveness him. Didn’t send him to the jail. However, she let Brent to build the whirligigs. This behavior is very brave. So when others made the mistakes, we need to learn to forgive them.
I would like to say that this book not only told me that there are chances to fix my life, but also chances for me to help others that are in a similar circumstance. I saw no reason to think that there were any bad points in this book, all of them were good, better, or great points. It shows forgiveness, courage, and concern. We need to learn it, and keep it in our mind.
